Overview
Over a billion dollars in federal E-Rate money is available to school districts. As a federal program, there is a complex regulatory framework to apply for and obtain E-Rate funding. With the right compliance plan in place, a school district can navigate the regulations and comply with program rules.

BEST can help a school district determine whether it is getting all the E-Rate funds for which it is eligible and whether the district is fully complying with E-Rate program rules and regulations.

Compliance Plan
BEST provides the school district with a comprehensive E-Rate Compliance Plan. The Plan sets out the internal procedures the school district should use in participating with E-Rate, including checklists and timelines to keep the school district on track for successful applications.

Status Reports
BEST provides the school district with an E-Rate Status Report setting out the school district’s E-Rate usage for the past three years. BEST also provides the school district with annual reviews of compliance and recommendations for future funding years.

Work with Personnel
BEST works hand-in-hand with school district personnel to assist in implementing the Compliance Plan. BEST is not a typical E-Rate consultant; rather, BEST helps the school district put a plan in place that the school district can run on its own.
