Training
BEST provides essential training to all school district employees in preparation for the Missouri School Improvement Program Review. This training consists of identifying documents and programs that specifically address questions posed by the Review Team.  In addition, the training provides all staff members an opportunity to understand how individual building goals tie in to the Comprehensive School Improvement Plan (CSIP) and the district goals set by the Board of Education. BEST will also conduct comprehensive training for administrators and teachers who will be involved in on-site interviews.  Finally, BEST will provide the Board of Education comprehensive training regarding the board interview providing connections to relevant district programs and policies that may be highlighted during the Board’s interview.

The MSIP Moment©
BEST has developed The MSIP Moment© as a support tool in preparing for a Missouri School Improvement Program Review. The purpose of the MSIP Moment is to explain the MSIP process step-by-step and enhance the training offered by BEST. Editions of The MSIP Moment will be available to distribute to all employees. It is recommended that the administrative staff incorporate The MSIP Moment into weekly meetings with teachers. The MSIP Moment is an invaluable tool that will help lead to a successful review by a school district.

Comprehensive School Improvement Plan (CSIP)
BEST will help a school district organize and finalize its CSIP. BEST works with the school district to ensure that all individual building goals tie in with the Board of Education’s goals for the school district. BEST will help create a comprehensive school improvement plan that will be used by the school district as a building block for all of its programs and educational progress. The CSIP will enable all employees of the school district to understand the direction and goals of the school district.

Program Evaluation
BEST will provide comprehensive program evaluation for individual school districts on an as-needed basis. BEST has previously performed program evaluations in the area of special education, guidance and counseling, vocational programs, and charter schools. BEST will identify areas of progress and identify where improvement can be made within the program. BEST will also provide, at a school district’s request, a comprehensive, cost-based analysis of the individual program and funding needed to support the program for subsequent school years. All program evaluations will be completed through a comprehensive program evaluation report, which will be submitted to the superintendent for review.
